Drawing (21st February 2014)

In this session we were given charcoal to work with. We blackened the canvas using the charcoal and then used an eraser to rub out the charcoal in order to draw our model. This week, rather than focus on drawing shapes and outlines, we instead had to get the effect of light to form the shape of the model, which meant erasing the parts where light shined on the model. the First two pictures were done in 30 minutes and the third (using more canvas space) was 20 minutes.
